In this dynamic, hands-on role, you'll guide students through an experiential, competency-based program designed to build career readiness, academic success, and independent living skills within a supportive small-group environment.
What You'll Do
As a key part of our team, you'll inspire and equip students for their future by
- Leading engaging learning experiences through interactive presentations, workshops, and real-world training
- Recruiting and connecting with students at regional high schools to expand program access and participation
- Sharing our mission by presenting to schools, families, and community partners about GSIL's educational opportunities
- Creating meaningful work experiences by partnering with employers, educators, and families
- Designing personalized learning opportunities to meet students where they are and help them grow
- Providing in-person instruction (minimum 15 hours/week) in a supportive, small group setting

What You Bring
- We're looking for someone who is adaptable, driven, and passionate about student success:
- Experience teaching, training, or working with youth-especially at-risk students or students with disabilities
- Ability to connect with diverse learners and adjust your approach to meeting different needs
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence in fast-paced or evolving environments
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree
- Knowledge of special education (IEPs, 504 plans, accommodations/modifications)
- Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
- Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and required insurance coverage
- Ability to drive a 14-passenger vehicle and ensure student safety during transport
- Capability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel locally for meetings, school visits, and worksite coordination

Granite State Independent Living is a statewide non-profit and New Hampshire's only Center for Independent Living, we stay close to our roots with a focus on our 5 core services of education, information, advocacy, support, and transition services for people with disabilities and underserved youth.
