Job description

Fort Hays Tech | North Central is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Instructor to join our Nursing Department. This position is responsible for providing high-quality classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction that prepares students for successful careers as Registered Nurses (RNs). The ideal candidate is passionate about nursing education, committed to student success, and able to foster a positive and engaging learning environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Instruction & Student Learning Plan, deliver, and evaluate classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning experiences Supervise and evaluate student performance in clinical settings Maintain accurate student attendance, grade, and performance records Provide academic guidance, support, and remediation to students as needed Promote professional, ethical, and legal nursing standards Develop clinical assignments aligned with course objectives and student skill levels Program & Department Support Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to support student learning experiences Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and departmental activities Assist in maintaining an organized and positive learning environment Support program accreditation standards and institutional goals Professional Responsibilities Maintain current nursing knowledge and clinical competency Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities Maintain professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, and clinical agencies Serve as a positive role model for students and colleagues

Qualifications

Education Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Master’s degree in Nursing Preferred Experience Previous teaching experience preferred Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in the medical surgical nursing area is preferred
