  • At our Anacortes Family Center, we're looking for an Assistant Teacher who wants to do more than just "watch kids"-someone who wants to help shape how they see the world.
  • This is a place where questions are encouraged, imaginations run wild, and small wins (like zipping a coat or sharing a toy) feel like big victories.
  • You'll work alongside a Lead Teacher and a supportive team to create a preschool environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn.
  • Some days are messy.
  • Some are loud.
  • All of them are meaningful.
  • In this role, you'll help guide daily routines, support play-based learning, and build strong, caring relationships with children and families.
  • You'll be part of those "lightbulb moments" when something finally clicks-and the steady presence that helps kids feel confident enough to try.
  • We're looking for someone who is patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys being around young children.
  • You don't need to have years of experience-we can help with training-but you do need a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a desire to make a difference.
  • You must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be eligible to work in a licensed early learning setting.
  • We provide required training and certifications if needed, along with sick and vacation accrual, paid closure days, and access to a 401(k) plan.
  • At Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County, we lead with Fun, Respect, Integrity, Community, and Acceptance.
  • If that sounds like a place where you'd thrive, we'd love to connect.
