Job Description

The Simulation Lab Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of the simulation lab. This position provides essential instructional and technical support by preparing, operating, and maintaining advanced simulation equipment and supplies. Serving as a key resource to all Intermountain Health Hospitals in Montana. This individual will assist with lab scheduling, equipment repairs, and inventory management—helping create a reliable, high-quality learning environment that supports clinical excellence and innovation. Work Schedule Core business hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; flexibility with possible evening and weekend hours. Travel - Ability to travel to other Peaks Care sites in Montana a few times per year; based on business needs. Essential Functions The coordinator will be responsible for checking in those participating in simulation and will assist with records and transcripts for students and associates. The coordinator will be responsible for the operation of high-fidelity simulators and all simulation equipment, including supply inventory; serving as a resource to those using the lab. Will demonstrate the ability to set up and troubleshoot simulation equipment. Completes special projects specific to the function of the lab or as needed or directed. Coordinates simulation activities within the assigned geographical area, including scheduling and LMS utilization. Administers approved system-wide simulation programs to meet outlined objectives. Other duties as assigned. Ability to move, manipulate, place up to 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to move, manipulate, place up to 50 lbs Caregivers whose duties require them to conduct home or community visits must maintain current BLS Certification, have a current Driver’s License, Current Auto Insurance, an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience in a clinical environment in a healthcare or educational setting. High degree of technical proficiency with Google, scheduling formats and other software programs utilized by MSU Nursing and St. Vincent Healthcare. Strong written and verbal skills. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in healthcare, education or technology field. Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS). Previous experience working in a healthcare simulation lab or healthcare educational program. Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
