Assistant Teacher – Infant, Toddler, or Preschool Classrooms

The Learning Experience – Upper West Side is seeking a dependable Assistant Teacher to support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children. This role helps create a structured, engaging learning environment while supporting daily classroom routines alongside Lead Teachers.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and being part of a collaborative early childhood education team.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily classroom routines across multiple age groups Support developmentally appropriate learning activities and classroom engagement Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Guide children through transitions including meals, rest time, and learning centers Prepare classroom materials and support group activities Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members Follow all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications
