General information
Villa Bella Expeditionary (VBE) is a newer K-8th District 70 charter school. VBE will use an Expeditionary Learning/professional development curriculum and Illustrative Mathematics. Primary function
The primary function of the education assistant is to assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members to provide a high-quality instructional program that continuously improves explorer achievement.

Essential performance responsabilities
- Follows the daily schedule as prescribed.
- Adjusts to work assignments and/or schedule changes.
- Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of materials or skills the crew leader initially introduces or outlines.
- Provides extra assistance to students with exceptionalities.
- Assists as directed by the supervising crew leader to successfully maintain students with special needs in an integrated setting, as determined by the intervention team.
- Assists the crew leader in preparing materials and equipment for small- or whole-group instruction.
- Supervises students in classrooms, hallways, school yards, gymnasiums, or on field trips/expeditions.
- Communicate clearly and positively with students and all stakeholders.
- Performs assigned non-instructional classroom duties, such as snack time, class change, etc.
- Additional school-level responsibilities as assigned by the Director
- Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality regarding explorer information in the school environment and community.
- Cover lunch and recess duties.
- Cover classroom supervision when needed.
- Other duties as assigned

- Range: $17.06-$20.88
- This position will be for the 2026-2027 school year
