Tennis Coach – Summer Camp (1 Week Only)
About Us The T.E.A. Center is an innovative and nurturing early childhood and youth enrichment center in McLean, VA. We empower young minds through active play, skill-building, and confidence development. We are seeking an enthusiastic Tennis Coach to lead engaging and age-appropriate tennis instruction during our Summer Camp 2026.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate brings energy, patience, and a passion for working with children. You will introduce campers to tennis fundamentals while promoting teamwork, coordination, sportsmanship, and a love for physical activity.
- Key Responsibilities
- Teach basic tennis skills including grip, footwork, and stroke fundamentals
- Lead fun drills, games, and skill-building activities
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence
- Adapt instruction for varying skill levels and ages
- Ensure safety and proper equipment use at all times
- Collaborate with camp staff to maintain a positive camp experience
Qualifications
- Experience playing or coaching tennis
- Experience working with children ages 4–12 preferred
- Energetic, patient, and encouraging coaching style
- Ability to create a fun and inclusive learning environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare requirements
- Bonus: Prior coaching certification or sports instruction experience
