- Category: EducationCumberland University Softball is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Softball Coach. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Head Softball Coach with the organization and administration of the Universities intercollegiate athletic program. Job Duties The individual will mentor, motivate, and develop student athletes in a NAIA educational environment, assist the Head Coach with practices, contests, recruitment and scouting. Work with students and staff from diverse backgrounds and ensure the athletic program is conducted in accordance with the NAIA and conference rules and regulations. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of coaching and/or collegiate playing experience. This position requires a valid driver’s license for business travel purposes (individual must have a US driver’s license for at least three years and also be qualified under University policy to transport students in college-owned and/or leased vehicles). CPR, AED and 1st Aid certification also is required, these certifications can be obtained through the college within the first month of employment.
