  • Curriculum & Instruction Develop and implement lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and individualized instruction Lead circle time, group activities, learning centers, and classroom transitions Foster early academic skills including pre-literacy, numeracy, fine motor skills, and language development Utilize observation and assessment tools to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Classroom Leadership Create a structured, engaging, and nurturing environment aligned with Cognia standards Supervise and guide Co-Teachers, modeling effective teaching strategies and classroom routines Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols Implement positive behavior guidance and social-emotional learning strategies Family Communication & School Collaboration Maintain open communication with families through daily updates, progress reports, and scheduled conferences Support and attend family engagement events, parent education sessions, and school celebrations Collaborate with school administrators and fellow teachers to ensure alignment with school goals and state licensing standards

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1–2 years of classroom experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center Proven ability to lead classroom activities and routines with confidence and consistency Strong knowledge of child development, learning domains, and early intervention best practices Effective communication skills with children, families, and co-workers A love for young children and a commitment to their growth and well-being Preferred Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required or in progress) Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations and quality standards Background in inclusive education, sensory integration, or differentiated instruction is a plus
