Description Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Extended Care Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and care for children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for children and parents
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities
  • Enforce school policies and procedures consistently and professionally
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support children's individual needs and create a cohesive care environment
  • Monitor children's behavior and address any issues in a positive and constructive manner

Skills and Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of child development principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain patient, flexible, and attentive in a dynamic environment
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional early childhood education credentials are a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
