Job description
Join our team as a Pediatric Primary Care Provider at our school-based health center in Madras, Oregon, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to the children and families of Central Oregon. Embedded within the Madras school community, this role offers the opportunity to practice full-scope pediatric primary care — meeting patients where they are and removing barriers to access in Jefferson County. Focused on prevention, education, and care coordination, you'll work alongside educators and community partners in a collaborative, mission-driven clinic, making a meaningful and lasting impact in this close-knit, high-need rural community.
We welcome applications from MDs, PNPs, PAs, and FNPs with a minimum of 5 years of pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of primary care medicine in an outpatient, and in certain circumstances inpatient settings.
- Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Uses current evidence-based guidelines in creating diagnostic and treatment plans; utilizing tools such as “Up to Date” or “Choosing Wisely.”
- Provides care which reflects health care cost consciousness and addresses social determinants of health.
- Effectively utilizes team based care model, leveraging expertise of all members of multi-disciplinary team.
- Maintains accurate electronic health records of patients and completes documentation in timely manner.
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience working with low-income populations preferred.
- Experience working on computers including typing/keyboarding skills required.
- Knowledge of health insurance plans preferred.
- Ability to train and teach staff required.
- Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements including CLIA and OSHA standards preferred.
- Ability to work with practice management software required.
- Hospital privileges may be required.
