We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher to guide our toddler classroom (ages 24 months – 3 years).

Position Summary

The Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher is responsible for preparing and maintaining a developmentally appropriate Montessori classroom environment, guiding young children in their early stages of independence, and fostering a respectful and nurturing atmosphere that supports each child’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain a Montessori-aligned toddler classroom environment
  • Guide children through practical life, sensorial, language, and early social development activities
  • Observe and assess children’s developmental progress
  • Create and implement lesson plans based on Montessori principles
  • Foster independence, confidence, and respect among children
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress and development
  • Collaborate with school leadership and staff to support the school’s educational mission
  • Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing regulations
  • Supervise assistant teachers and support staff in the classroom

Qualifications

  • Montessori Toddler Certification (AMI, AMS, MACTE, or equivalent) preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years experience working with toddlers in a Montessori or early childhood classroom
  • Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to create a nurturing and structured learning environment
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
