The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children between the ages of infancy and 6 years old.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning and growth in young children.
- Provide individualized support to children, including those with special needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Engage with children through play-based learning, encouraging exploration and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Assiociate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered Experience working with children in a toddler or childcare setting is essential.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
