Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Occupational Therapy at Saginaw Valley State University invites applications for a contracted fieldwork clinical instructor position. The position includes providing supervision and guidance for small groups of occupational therapy students during an instructor-led fieldwork rotation at a designated facility in the community. This person will collaborate with the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator regarding student expectations, performance, and learning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing rapport with assigned facility, staff, and clients Identification and assignment of caseload Facilitation of student learning opportunities in support of the MSOT curriculum Provide verbal and written feedback to support student growth Evaluation of student performance Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General supervision is received from Stacey Webster MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in occupational therapy At least one year of clinical experience Experience with student education and/or supervision Current OT licensure in the state of Michigan, or eligible Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn new software quickly. Experience and ability to positively interact with a diverse campus community. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.
