Qualifications

Qualified Mental Health Professional ~ A staff member who is able to demonstrate and document competency in the work to be performed and has:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum number of hours that is equivalent to a major in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, or early childhood intervention

General Responsibilities

QMHP is responsible for providing community based clinical necessary services to the client in accordance with the treatment plan that is designed to meet the mental health, educational, vocational, residential, financial, social, etc. needs of the consumer.

Maintain a caseload of 3 - 10 clients Attend monthly supervisions and team meetings Serve as an intricate member of the SP team to ensure continuity of care and supports the services 24 hours a day, seven days per week as necessary Provides structured face-to-face scheduled sessions to client based on the treatment plans Provide services in the home, school, office and community setting Ensure that the majority of mental health services are primarily rendered in the community and ensure that limited services remain clinic based. Documentation completed within 48 hours of service Work collaboratively with and provide ongoing updates to the clinical team including psychiatrist as needed Completes and attest to completion of all mandatory training as identified in TRR Ability to work efficiently and effectively both individually and as part of a team Ability to appropriately accept feedback through the supervision process - thus displaying the willingness to learn, grow, and improve Well organized and adaptable Demonstrates good insight and judgment Effective conflict resolution skills Provide skill building and case management services to clients Submit reports timely Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to work with children and family to deliver skills through approved curriculum Ability to support the agency's culture, growth, and success through communication, accountability, and positive
