Student-Athlete Support Services

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of personal and professional development programming for student-athletes;
  • Coordinate and track logistics for community service projects and outreach initiatives involving student-athletes;
  • Support the execution of student-athlete mentorship and peer leadership programs;
  • Provide on-site support during development events, workshops, and community service outings;
  • Assist in developing new volunteer opportunities that align with student-athlete interests and departmental goals;
  • Support in creating newsletters, promotional flyers, and social media content to engage student-athletes;
  • Assist with rules education for Coaches and Staff, including creating monthly compliance newsletters;
  • Monitor countable athletically related activities (CARA) and voluntary activities using TeamWorks software;
  • Maintain student-athlete files and update rosters as needed;
  • Various other tasks as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Admittance to a Quinnipiac University Graduate School program (3.0 GPA minimum);
  • Excellent communication and strong composition proficiency;
  • Strict attention to detail and highly organized;
  • Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds;
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products;
  • Knowledge and experience with NCAA Division I rules and regulations preferred;
  • Familiarity with Teamworks software preferred.
