The Blinn College District is searching for a Part - Time Instructor - EMT Dual Credit Waller ISD.

Job Summary The Dual Credit (DC) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) EMT Instructor is a faculty member who has responsibility to ensure that course objectives are met through provisions of assigned lecture and lab content in the EMT Basic courses.
- Principal Accountabilities The DC EMT instructor is accountable to the Program Director of the EMS Program and the Dean of Health Sciences.
- Provides lectures and hands-on instruction in EMT Follows the published schedule of classes Prepares course syllabus which shall include stated objectives for the course, following departmental and College requirements Covers all course competencies in instruction Develops, grades, administers, and facilitates quizzes, exams, etc. used to evaluate student progress Maintain and provide, through the proper modalities, a grade evaluation on each student’s performance in a timely fashion with the frequency required by Blinn College and in alignment with college and departmental requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of, and exhibits, current methodology in instruction Manage classroom activities by enforcing standards, rules, and regulations Provides feedback to the Program Director on course progress, suggested improvements, or problems that may impact program quality or stability Maintain documentation according to college and program policy.
- Makes recommendations for equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Participates in program and college faculty meetings and activities as possible Maintains professional competence through practice, continuing education, and professional activities Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications Associate degree in Emergency Medical Services Current Paramedic licensed in the State of Texas Certified EMS Instructor in the State of Texas 3 years non-teaching field experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in any field Preferred Competencies Computer skills, instructional design, organizational skills, and excellent communications skills are a must. Special Notes To Applicants Must be a current employee of Waller ISD
