- This role assists clergy, staff, and parishioners while maintaining accurate records and supporting parish communications in alignment with the mission of the Catholic Church.Job Responsibilities Office Administration
Answer phone calls, emails, and greet visitors in a professional and welcoming manner Manage daily office tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry Maintain organized parish records and confidential files
Sacramental Records
Assist with recording and updating sacramental records (baptisms, marriages, funerals, confirmations) Prepare certificates and official church documents as requested Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all sacramental documentation
Scheduling & Coordination
Help schedule Mass intentions, meetings, and parish events Coordinate use of parish facilities and calendars Communicate schedule updates to staff and volunteers
Communication Support
- Prepare weekly bulletins, newsletters, and parish announcements Post updates on parish website or bulletin boards as directed Assist with mass mailings and parish correspondence Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred) Previous clerical or office experience strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Friendly, respectful demeanor consistent with parish values The Archdiocese of St.
