Job description

St. Mary’s High School, located in Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking a qualified full-time Spanish teacher for the 2026–2027 academic school year.

The High School Spanish teacher should be knowledgeable about current instructional strategies and be skilled at creating lessons with high levels of student engagement.

  • Essential Functions
  • Provide grade appropriate instructional program for students in grades 9-12.
  • Integrates technology in lessons.
  • Maintains an attractive, organized, and engaging learning environment.
  • Develops lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan Course of Study.
  • Uses data to create differentiated learning experiences.
  • Provides grade-appropriate extended or enrichment opportunities.
  • Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education and current MSDE certification with endorsements in Spanish.
  • Experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred.
  • Positive references and recommendations.
  • Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
