  • Start date: 8/31/2026 KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Grace Beginnings Academy Aftercare Teacher is passionate about guiding and caring for 16 months-2 year-olds in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate partners with parents, classroom teachers, and supports each child’s growth in their physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. The aftercare lead teacher plans and implements structured free play and activities while children wait to be picked up by parents.
  • This is a part-time, year-round position with an 3:00-5:45p schedule. Create a Christ-centered learning environment for children ages 16 months-2 years. Provide structure, free play and activities Collaborate with the Toddler + Junior Preschool Teachers in planning activities and relaying communication to parents at pick-up. Daily communicate with families on the success, challenges and activities of the day. Follow the directives of the Infant Toddler Director to maintain high standards in the classroom and provide a quality experience for the children Maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice for teaching children from 16 months-2 years of age.
