Job Summary
Plans and carries out instruction in the Nursing program and prepares learning materials in both theory and practice.
Job Duties
- Plans and carries out instruction in the Nursing program and prepares learning materials in both theory and practice.
- Prepares lesson plans, instructional activities, provides clinical instruction, and maintains records and reports on student learning.
- Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and expertise.
- Provides student advisement, follow-up services to assist in student placement, and promotes public relations.
- Serves on committees as required, keeps regular posted office hours, and undertakes other assignments as directed by supervisor.
- May be required to teach evening, weekend, or at other campus locations as the need arises.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid, unencumbered KY (or a compact state with multistate privileges) registered nursing (RN) license and two years of nursing experience in the last five years.
- Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Individuals holding a baccalaureate degree may be considered for hire at instructor level.
- Preferred candidates will also have at least one year of long-term care experience.
- All applicants must meet the licensure requirements of the occupation.
- Rank and salary will be dependent upon the level of education and years of teaching experience.
