Responsibilities
- The Caylor Nickel Foundation Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic individual to join our team to work part-time as a Group Fitness Instructor. Under the wellness director's supervision, the Fitness Instructor leads classes connecting participants to one another and their wellness goals.
- Motivate: Encourage class participants to continue moving and exercising.
- Connect: Build effective, authentic relationships with members and help to connect them with each other.
- Transform: Inspire participants by measuring wellness growth and encouraging continued activity.
Requirements
- Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- Minimum of 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least one year of teaching experience and be certified by an approved organization.
- Valid certifications include YMCA, ACE, AFAA, NDEITA, YOGAFIT, or Cooper Institute. Must be able to maintain certifications and other training requirements for the position as outlined.
- Ability to demonstrate efficiency in group exercise instruction.
- Must be able to interact with members and guests; excellent human relations skills.
- Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.

Part-time $12.44-$14.50 hourly
