Description Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC) seeks full-time, full-year Toddler Teachers in our Danbury Early Learning Programs.

About the Role
Toddler Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing activities to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of infants and toddlers (ages 18 months – 3 yrs). Essential Job Responsibilities: Toddler Teachers are responsible for weekly lesson plans for a classroom of 8 toddlers (18 - 36 months old). Toddler Teachers support their 8 students alongside a co-teacher. Toddler Teachers document observations in Teaching Strategies Gold to with Creative Curriculum. Toddler Teachers qualitatively enhance language development of infants and toddlers through the use of LENA (Language Environment Analysis) technology. Toddler Teachers receive support for their students and families from a classroom aid and a Family Advocate. Toddler Teachers communicate child routines with parents through Procare Software and Remind messaging. All Teachers and classrooms receive curriculum support and coaching from education coaches. Program supports are offered through a team of service area specialists including early childhood education, social services, behavioral health, disabilities, and health & nutrition.
Requirements
License/Certification: CDA Certification or 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education (Required) Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Psychology (Preferred) Ability to pass the State of CT Office of Early Childhood Background Check process (BCIS) Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged.
