About the Role
Qalam is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated intern or volunteer to support our Academy team, specifically the Foundations program. This part-time role is ideal for a student seeking hands-on operational experience in a nonprofit setting, or someone with administrative experience looking to give back through volunteer work. What you'll do Create and manage the Foundations program website and learning portal Support instructors with course pacing and curriculum tracking Maintain gradebooks and progress report documentation for each student Manage instructor communication around scheduling and availability Ideate and initiate student socials to foster community building Host regular office hours to address student questions and concerns Manage and respond to email inquiries
Qualifications
Basic familiarity with learning portals with a willingness to learn new platforms Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Passion for education and nonprofit work
