Summary
Fuller School of Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy has two Departments
Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. The Masters of Arts in Mental Health and Ministry is situated as a partnership between the Departments. Affiliate faculty applying for this position would teach in this unique Master’s degree program, which is an asynchronous online degree offered globally
The MAMHM degree equips ministry leaders to address mental health concerns within their congregation or ministry settings. An emphasis on the integration of paraprofessional mental health care and theological leadership is pervasive throughout the curriculum
Availability of positions is variable and dependent upon numbers of students and courses required. Screening of submitted applications begins when a teaching vacancy arises.
This position works online.
- Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach online asynchronous courses assigned by the MA sMHM Program Chair.
- Attend regular online program meeting organized by the Chair for teaching support and inquiriesProvide students access to periodic, voluntary online synchronous course meetings.
- Prepare a syllabus and teach courses according to the goals and objectives of the degree and its particular curriculum.
- Build and maintain the online course shells in Canvas for student accessibility.
- Provide a learning environment that supports student success.
- Maintain virtual office hours for each class and mentor and guide students beyond the classroom.
- Ensure timely management and response to electronic correspondence from students, administrators, and other school officials.
- Lead online forum discussions and build peer support in relevant online discussion and coursework.
- Partner with the Program Chair and PMAA (Program Manager/Academic Advisor) to address any student concerns.
- Maintain and submit accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress.
- Deliver final grades in accordance with the academic calendar.
- Enforce student conduct policies as outlined in the student handbook.
- Maintain accurate daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position.
- Additional duties may be assigned by the Program Chair, as relevant to the particular course.
- Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum Master’s degree in Mental health related disciplines.
- Able to work cooperatively within the seminary community.
- Able to support the goals and aims of the MA Mental Health and Ministry degree program.
- Sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, gender, and denominational differences.
- Able to sign the Fuller Statement of Faith and abide by the community standards.
- Experience with online teaching.
- Affiliate faculty will not exceed 39 hours of work in one week or 8 hours of work in one day.
- Must provide your own laptop for work.
- Must be fluent and confident in navigating lecture recording system and holding online meetings via Zoom
- Experience and Skills Preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with seminary education.
- Experience in ministry or nonprofit organizations.
- Online teaching experience
- Experience with teaching adult learners

Pay Scale • Wage range the Seminary expects to pay
$22.00 to $51.00 per hour USD.
