DES MOINES, IA 50316Grand View University Library in Des Moines, Iowa, invites applications for the position of Access Services Librarian. The library seeks a service-oriented professional with a strong commitment to teaching and student success within a collaborative environment. This position also plays a key role in facilitating the acquisition and management of materials in all formats, ensuring effective access to library resources. Responsibilities include serving as an embedded librarian across academic programs; collaborating with faculty and colleagues to design, deliver, and assess information literacy instruction; providing leadership and oversight for Access Services department; serving as backup administrator for the Integrated Library System (ILS); managing the University Archives and the Danish Immigrant Archives; and assisting students with library research and commonly used software applications. The position also includes occasional weekends and evenings as needed. Grand View University is a Lutheran liberal arts institution serving approximately 1,600 students and located in a residential neighborhood within the Des Moines metropolitan area. The library provides access to nearly 90,000 volumes and more than 95,000 journals through 33 databases and is staffed by three librarians and two support staff.
