Manchester University is looking for a Success Advisor who thrives on building meaningful relationships and making a real difference in students’ lives. As a Success Advisor, you’ll serve as a trusted guide and advocate for both incoming and continuing students, using a proactive, case management approach to support academic progress and personal well-being. You’ll collaborate closely with faculty and campus partners to deliver personalized, wrap-around support—ensuring students feel seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
What You'll Do
- Manage a caseload of first-year and continuing students through regular check-ins, advising meetings, and proactive outreach
- Support students facing academic or personal challenges by developing individualized success plans and connecting them to campus resources
- Respond to faculty and staff referrals and coordinate wrap-around support services
- Assist special student populations, including undeclared students, student-athletes, first-generation, and transfer students
- Monitor student progress using advising technologies and tracking systems
- Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to promote student self-service tools and college success strategies
- Participate in orientation programs, campus events, committees, and professional development opportunities
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student advocacy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Comfortable using basic computer applications and student support technologies
