Position Title: Security & Special Operations Technician

Department: Security & Special Operations

Location: Claremont, CA/Onsite

Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Length of assignment: 6-8 months dependent on department need

Shift

Graveyard shift - 10:30 pm – 7:00 am, Tuesday through Saturday

Summary

The Webb Schools seek a dynamic, inventive, and experienced professional to serve as Security & Special Operations Technician at a time of great promise. You will be responsible for advancing The Webb Schools’ mission and values through providing the security and general support for the campus community by performing the essential duties listed below. The officer represents the school and provides security for visitors, guests, parents, employees, and vendors.

Essential

Duties: & Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to

  • Control the main entrance gate to allow the entrance of authorized personnel. Check credentials or the approved roster before admitting anyone.
  • Monitor the CCTV Cameras
  • Patrol the campus grounds and facilities several times throughout the shift.
  • Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Lock doors and gates, and close open windows. Turn off unnecessary lights.
  • Warn and deter people engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
  • Maintain radio contact with the faculty O.D.’s (Officer of the Day). Respond to requests for assistance

Required Qualifications

Education

• high school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Six months’ experience in a similar position

Certification/license

  • BSIS Guard Card
  • CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college course work

Experience

• 1 year or more experience in security or similar type of role
