Job description
Lead Toddler Teacher
Early Head Start: Full-time (40 Hours per week)
Full Year
General Responsibility
Oversee the daily operations of an Early Head Start classroom and to provide the children, ages 18 months to 3 years, with an educational program that is conducive to optimal development.
Specific Responsibilities
Be knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices and the Head Start Performance Standards, planning according to the individual needs of each child, completing education paperwork, conducting developmental assessments, documenting assessment data in the web-based data management system, conducting observations of children daily, encouraging family engagement in the program, conducting home visits per the Performance Standards, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, providing Responsive Caregiving to all children and promoting the school readiness of children and families in the program.
Qualifications
Associates Degree Early Childhood Education (preferred) or Infant/Toddler CDA. Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate preferred.

Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. Experience is a must. Demonstrate an understanding of everyone’s experiences, every day. Ensuring the delivery of services that recognizes and respects that every moment matters.
