Job summary
The Intermediate Teacher is responsible for creating a structured, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment for students in the intermediate grades. This role emphasizes strong instruction, positive classroom management, and collaboration with colleagues, families, and parish staff.
- Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with diocesan and state curriculum
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Assess student learning and communicate progress regularly with families
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and lesson plans
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administration, and support staff
- Participate in school events, professional development, and faculty meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
- Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain one)
- Previous intermediate-level teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a faith-based educational setting
