Rate of pay
$15.76. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
- Essential Responsibilities
- Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals.
- Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living. Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Keeps accurate class attendance records.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community
- CPR & First Aid Certified
- Must have completed a Basic Instructor Training Course and/or completed one specialty certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-lingual skills
- National Group Exercise Certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NETA) and/or BS in related field
