Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Robotics (STEM) Instructor to lead an exciting after-school robotics program for elementary-aged students. This is a part-time opportunity ideal for someone who is passionate about STEM education, highly organized, and confident in managing a classroom of young learners.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver hands-on robotics lessons and STEM activities for students in grades K–5 Use age-appropriate robotics kits and materials to teach fundamental STEM concepts Maintain a well-structured, engaging, and positive classroom environment Demonstrate strong classroom management and ensure student safety and participation Adapt lessons to meet the needs of various learning styles and skill levels Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and parents
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational or enrichment setting Experience teaching STEM or robotics preferred (training support may be provided) Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills Able to lead structured, hands-on activities independently Dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic about teaching
Preferred Qualifications
Background in education, child development, STEM, or related fields Familiarity with common educational robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO® Education, Dash & Dot, VEX, etc.) Details: Location: Augusta Parks and Rec.
