Job description
Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of our Surgical Tech Preceptor Team! Please complete the online application with the requested information. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The preceptor is an experienced staff member, who possesses excellent clinical skills and is essential to the development and promotion of critical thinking for the new staff member. The preceptor serves as a role model, educator and resource person to assist the new staff member with a successful orientation to the unit and organization.
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months clinical experience preferred Demonstrate respectful, effective communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and staff Demonstrate ability to effectively problem solve in difficult situations Demonstrates and encourages open communication and teamwork throughout organization Ability to utilize resources effectively Function as a role model and encourage staff to participate in their own development Ability to introduce, interpret, & practice protocols, policies and standards Willingness to share expertise and knowledge Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values Maintains reliable and consistent attendance $32.52- $40.93 Hourly
