Purpose
To provide persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities an exciting camp experience by providing the support and assistance needed.
Qualifications
Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings Preferable possess a Valid Driver's License that meets company standards for approved driver status. Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient in the English Language (written and oral) High School Diploma or equivalent if required by work location Must be 18 Years of age or Older Essential Functions: Beginning June 15, Counselors are required to attend a mandatory Four-Day Training course. Beginning June 22, Counselors are required to attend a Mandatory two-hour weekly training session every Monday throughout the camp season. Provide continuous engagement, support, and guidance to ensure each camper can participate in camp activities to the best of their ability. The Counselor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy and supportive environment by actively monitoring Campers need remaining attentive to potential risk, and taking proactive measures to safeguard each camper's health, safety and well being Duties include but are not limited to the following: hygiene care, assisting with/ showering/ bathing/toileting, oral care, dressing, assisting with/ meals-feeding, and any additional care required Willingness to participate in any additional responsibilities to support the overall success of the camp program as necessary.
