- $10.25/hour ($12.20/hour with a lifeguard certification)
- Position

- Swim Instructors will provide swimming instruction to students of various ages and ability levels, from preschool through adult.
- Lessons are taught in accordance with the YMCA Swim Lesson program Curriculum.
- Critical to your success as an instructor, the Y's continued reputation as a provider of highest quality swim instruction, is the relationship that you build with your students and their parents.
- This will be accomplished through positive and regular communications with students and parents relative to progress, concerns, questions and suggestions, while maintaining a safe and friendly aquatic learning environment.
- Ideal candidates will be at least 15 years old, and have the ability to work 2+ days per week.
- Variety of shifts available.
Requirements
Qualifications
Must have knowledge of and ability to demonstrate and teach proper swim strokes and skills. Aquatics background with experience as a swim instructor preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively interact with swimmers, parents and staff. Patience, problem-solving ability, creativity and the ability to work in a noisy environment.
