Requirements

Master’s Degree from an accredited university in the area of social work or counseling with 2+ years of relevant experience

MUST be a Registered Intern

Driver’s License Must be in good standing

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Proficient in computer programs and software

  • The Full Service School Therapist provides direct clinical services to assigned cases in accordance with the client’s treatment plan. Responsibilities include providing assessment, individual, group and family counseling services.
  • Documents therapeutic interactions in the client’s chart.
  • Actively participates in client’s treatment plans.
  • Coordinates care between psychiatrist, and other disciplines.
  • Charting is accurate and legible in specific terms.
  • Assists in discharge planning in accordance with treatment team and client status.
  • Recognizes and reports signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect.
  • Demonstrates appropriate responsibility in collecting and reporting client data in accordance with the policy and procedures.
  • Functions as an individual/group/family Psychotherapist by conducting regular therapy session for the client.
  • Assists in the development of therapeutic programs.
  • Coordinates and provides consultation to team members on client’s mental health issues to ensure team approach is implemented.
  • Records all pertinent therapeutic data in client progress notes in a timely manner.
  • Attends all treatment team meetings and treatment plan updates with supporting documentation as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with relevant community and school personnel to provide accurate monitoring of services.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date records of client’s treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Ability to develop clinical rationale and direction of treatment within supervision and displays understanding in practice.
  • Ensures that documentation in client’s file, group log and weekly summaries is accurate and completed in the prescribed time (Outcomes Measures, CFRAS, Treatment Plan Updates, Grid Sheet etc.).
  • Ability to utilize supervision and peer review to work toward professional growth and increase clinical competency.
  • Maintains up to date daily provider logs which reflect number of units and all services provided day to day.
  • Actively supports agency philosophy and goals.
  • Completes assignments per department and agency schedules (i.e., SAMIS entries, Medicaid billing etc.).
  • Displays adaptability to changes in the work duties or settings, including being open to new ideas and approaches to current tasks.
  • Actively seeks self-improvement opportunities (continuing education and professional development).
  • Reports to work, scheduled meetings, and appointments on time as scheduled.
  • Provides proper notification for absences and tardiness.
  • Models appropriate and professional behavior (i.e., dress, habits, personality, tact, etc.).
  • Escorts client safely to activities or appointments as needed.
  • Ensures that clients need and services are provided within departmental guidelines.
  • Relates with clients, parents, peers, school personnel and the general public in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Ensures Units of Service is accurate in SAMIS (Data Entry) 1. 96% Above Expectations 2. 95% Meets Expectations 3. 90% Below Expectations
