About the Role
The Diabetes Nurse Educator is responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the diabetes education program. The nurse educator provides individualized and group education and counseling on all aspects of diabetes self-care and is responsible for acquiring and maintaining accreditation by the American Diabetes Association.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice professional nursing by the Montana State Board of Nurse Examiners. BSN preferred. Minimum of two years of nursing experience. Certified as a Diabetes Educator or willingness to obtain CDE. Experience in chronic disease management, particularly in diabetes. Ability to communicate in writing and verbally on multiple education levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
