- How you’ll make an impact in this role This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Ambulatory Clinical Faculty Physician in Internal Medicine to join an employed position within a growing residency program at Ascension Milwaukee Hospitals.
- This role offers a deeply rewarding blend of direct clinical practice and dedicated academic faculty time, allowing you to serve as a vital bridge for residents transitioning into practice-ready colleagues.
- Mentor the Next Generation: Serve as a premier role model for professionalism, dedicating sufficient time to supervise, teach, and cultivate an exceptional educational environment for residents and students in the clinic setting.
- Lead Clinical & Academic Rounds: Actively drive the program's academic mission by participating in organized clinical discussions, rounds, journal clubs, and conferences, while providing learners with real-time verbal and written feedback.
- Deliver Scholarly Patient Care: Evaluate and treat a diverse outpatient panel with advanced diagnostic skills, employing an evidence-based, scholarly approach to medicine that improves both individual and population health.
- Champion Quality & Resident Well-Being: Pursue continuous faculty development focused on clinical education, quality improvement, patient safety, and fostering the mental and physical well-being of both yourself and the residents.
- Partner with Program Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) through annual performance reviews, teaching observations, and proactive communication regarding resident milestones.
- Document the Patient Journey: Capture clinical documentation with precision to meet regulatory and insurance standards, modeling meticulous administrative and clinical excellence for future physicians.
- Additional Preferences Board Certification: Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in Internal Medicine and approved by the Program Director.
Licensure
- Eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin state medical license and DEA registration.

What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration
Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
