Job description

  • 2027 Interns Interns will attend the same training as regular CFBR employees.
  • They are responsible for providing individual clinical services and appropriate assessments for Boys Ranch residents utilizing a strength-based approach, under the supervision of an LCSW or an LMSW (with 2 years post-grad experience).
  • They will participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of Boys Ranch clinical interventions for identified residents in accordance with appropriate therapeutic practices and CFBR policy.
  • Each intern will attend and participate in weekly team meetings for assigned clients.
  • They will facilitate and/or co-facilitate therapeutic and/or psycho-educational groups and have opportunities to provide clinical services and support for the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy programs, Adventure Programs and other experiential learning activities.
  • Interns are immersed into the community of care provided at CFBR and will be able to experience all aspects of care provided to residents in a General Residential Operation.
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Child Psychology, Counseling, Human Services Administration or related field is required.
  • Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  • Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.
  • Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing.
