- Overview: Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School is seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time school nurse to support the health and well-being of our students and staff. The nurse will provide basic first aid, manage daily health needs, maintain student health records, and collaborate with families and staff to promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Responsibilities
Provide first aid and care for students and staff with illnesses or injuries during school hours. Administer prescribed medications in accordance with school policies and state regulations. Maintain accurate and confidential student health records. Monitor and report communicable diseases and other health concerns to administration as needed. Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student health needs. Support school safety and wellness initiatives. Maintain the nurse's office, ensuring supplies are stocked and organized.
Requirements
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Illinois. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Prior experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping skills.
