  • Range: $20.00 - $26.00 HourlyThis internship offers flexible schedules, keeping in mind that our program operates 24 hours a day, 7 a week. Candidates should be pursuing a degree within the Human Service field. Please reach out if you have questions regarding your eligibility. The Mental Health Assistants are responsible for a variety of duties relating to and primarily concerned with implementing the students’ treatment and educational programs. MHAs provide services/interventions that support skill development and mastery for students/clients within JRC’s school and residential components. They also maintain a safe environment for students/clients to thrive academically, while providing consistent treatment that leads to reduction of problem behaviors. This position affords a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with and knowledge of the current methods for treating the problems of autistic-like adolescents/adults and young adults with behavioral disorders. It is an hourly non-exempt position. Hours of work are assigned on a weekly basis and can be comprised of any day or shift necessary to assure adequate staffing, including weekends, nights, and holidays.   • The office is open from 9-4:00pm Monday- Friday. You do not need an appointment for your interview. Please note that you must come dressed professionally in order to receive an interview. Current staff members working overtime are earning $10,000 monthly Annual Salary may reach over $100,000 with extra shifts

Qualifications

Physical Demands of Position: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English. 20/20 vision or correctable to 20/20 with corrective lenses. Position involves kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, crawling, and handling during the treatment process. Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance Normal depth perception is required. All entry level staff may be required to work both weekend days and all holidays.
