Job description
- Instructor – School of Nursing (Morgantown Campus) West Virginia University West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applications for a Non-Tenure, Clinical Education Track Instructor. This is a full-time,1.0 FTE, nine (9) months, benefits eligible position to teach in the BSN program Complex Community Systems Nursing clinicals and Alterations in Mental Health clinicals. This position will report to the chairperson of the Family and Community Health Department. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Teaching in Complex Community Systems Nursing clinicals in the BSN program.
- Teaching in Alterations in Mental Health clinicals in the BSN program.
- Teaching would also include undergraduate health assessment and communication as well as foundations clinicals.
- In addition to clinical teaching, other formats of teaching, including traditional classroom teaching, skills lab, small group, and simulation teaching may be included
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN); or have a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing and be enrolled in a graduate degree program with a major in nursing within one (1) year of employment as a faculty member; or have a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing and at least ten (10) years of professional nursing practice experience.
- Evidence of experience in complex community systems nursing practice sufficient to demonstrate professional competence.
- Required to have unencumbered WV RN License by position start date.
