Job description

  • Preschool Teacher - 2's-3's Leading and teaching our fabulous 2's-3's class!
  • Shift: Morning shift with typical working hours of 7:00AM-4PM or 8:00 PM- 5:00 PM (shift time varies).
  • Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude, with a genuine love for engaging in spontaneous activities such as dance parties, comforting children, and participating in playful interactions.
  • Organize and lead activities that promote physical, mental, and social development, including games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, in-house field trips, and sensory activities.
  • Provide basic needs to children such as diaper changing, potty training, assisting with lunch, supervising activities, singing, dancing, and offering hugs and high fives.
  • Prepare materials and classrooms for activities, develop lesson plans according to academic and biblical curricula utilized at Saving Grace Preschool.
  • Possesses the ability to create and post lesson plans.
  • Teach both academic and social skills, as well as Bible lessons, following the Enduring Faith curriculum.
  • Academic skills include colors, shapes, numbers, letter recognition, and personal hygiene.
  • Observe and conduct basic benchmark assessments to evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Maintain the ability to stand for long periods, frequently walk, sit on the floor, lift up to 50 lbs in emergencies, and engage with children in a fun and enthusiastic manner.

  • Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Early Childhood or Education field.
  • Degree in Education or Child Development (Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or higher) OR CDA- Child Development Associates OR willing to obtain this certification through our Professional Development pathway.
  • Proficiency in English, with Spanish as a plus.
  • Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint card Certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR (training provided if not current).
  • Job Requirements: Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, run, and lift children up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective interaction and communication skills with Administrative Staff, children and parents.
  • Must be willing to abide by the Early Childhood Guiding Principles established by the Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Availability: Full-Time
