Job description

RiseWell Community Services is looking for Children’s Counselor to join the Children & Family Treatment Support Services Program.

Our Children and Family Treatment Support Services, which includes individual, group, or family therapy, family peer support, and rehabilitation services, strengthen children/youth and their families to help them make informed decisions about their care through evidence-based practices. Primary goals include rebuilding relationships, enhancing communication, learning coping skills, incorporating therapy into everyday practice, assessments for mental health and/or substance use needs, and more.

  • In this role, you will provide Services to Children and youth under 21 years old.
  • Offer community based support and services to children in non-institutionalized settings that enable them to remain at home and in the community.
  • Offer participants independent choices among an array of service options and providers.
  • These services include: 1.
  • CPST, community psychiatric supports and treatment 2.
  • PSR, psychosocial rehabilitation.
  • Responsible for all documentation including assessments, service plans, progress notes, authorizations and other needed information as per program policy and procedures.

*Services will be provided w/in your scope of practice so all services may not apply.

Qualifications

Service delivery is expected be provided with appropriate professional license within scope of services when applicable. Candidate must hold at least a BA degree and have some experience with children. Clean, valid NYS Driver’s License. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, and all necessary clearances from the Justice Center.
