Job description
- We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach in our Surgical Technology program.
- This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director.
- The primary responsibility will be to teach Surgical Technology courses.
- The typical teaching load is two courses each term.
- Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director, and participate in department training, meetings, and graduation.

Skills/Competencies/Qualifications
- Is a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency
- Possesses a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
- Minimum of 3 years of significant program-related/industry experience in the ST scrub role or as an ST instructor or both within the last five years.
- A minimum of an associate’s degree is required. A bachelor degree or higher is preferred and may be required in some states.
- Postsecondary teaching experience preferred
