Job summary
The Academic Resource Center is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our academic support team as Peer Academic Peer Academic Success Coaches. Peer Academic Success Coaches play a crucial role in fostering student success by providing one-on-one coaching, mentorship, and academic support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with assigned students to discuss academic goals, challenges, and strategies for success.
- Provide support in areas such as time management, study skills, note-taking, and goal setting.
- Collaborate with students to create personalized academic improvement plans.
- Assist students in accessing and utilizing campus resources, tutoring services, and academic workshops.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student engagement and success.
- Keep accurate records of coaching sessions and student progress.
- Required qualifications
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate.
- Strong academic standing with a demonstrated understanding of effective study strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to empathize with and motivate peers facing academic challenges.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Previous peer mentoring, coaching, or leadership experience is a plus.
