  • Intern, you will: Assist with the implementation of instructional programs Support student learning through observation and assessment Help with classroom routines, activities, and instructional needs as directed by the teacher Gain hands-on experience in a supportive learning environment aligned with your coursework This internship is ideal for students who are ready to apply their academic knowledge, grow their teaching skills, and contribute meaningfully to an inclusive classroom setting.

  • Responsibilities: Assist in planning and delivering differentiated lessons that support diverse learning needs. Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that values student diversity. Support universal design for learning (UDL) principles and inclusive instructional practices. Work with small groups and individual students, including those with disabilities, to reinforce learning objectives. Observe and implement evidence-based strategies for academic and behavioral support. Assist in classroom management, providing proactive support to ensure student engagement. Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and co-teaching experiences. Collaborate with general education and ESE teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote inclusive education best practices. Ensure compliance with procedures, requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.
