- Classification Fixed Term (Fixed Term) Minimum Pay $0.00 Compensation will be commensurate with the level of the position, education, and experience. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As a College for Kids & Teens Instructor, you will be responsible for leading engaging activities. Lesson plans will be provided to you. You will help create a fun, educational, and safe environment, while encouraging positive behaviors and building relationships with students. Scheduled in various locations across the Omaha Metro. All materials and supplies are provided by MCC. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities (e.g., arts and crafts, sports, team-building exercises, outdoor exploration, science experiments, etc.).
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to students, ensuring they understand activity objectives and expectations.
- Supervise and engage with students, maintaining a positive, supportive, and inclusive atmosphere.
- Ensure student safety and well-being by following camp safety protocols and guidelines.
- Adapt activities based on student needs and interests, ensuring all children are included and engaged.
- Foster a fun, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and trying new things.
- Set up and clean up activity areas before and after each session.
- Assist with any behavioral challenges, using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution techniques.
- Communicate with fellow staff members and College for Kids Coordinator to ensure smooth operations. Seeking instructors for Black Rocket camps during the summer of 2026. All camps are between June 1st and July 31. PREFFERED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
