• Location: Jamestown, ND Shift: Monday - Friday Job Schedule: Casual, Scheduled as needed to provide classroom coverage Weekly Hours: 4-23 JOB SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of the assigned classroom.
• The incumbent provides supervisory guidance and direction to classroom staff, and effectively manages problem solving skills to meet student and staff needs.
• The incumbent assesses, develops, and implements Individualized Education Plans (IEP’s) for assigned students.
• The position assumes the authority, responsibility, and accountability for managing overall effectiveness of the classroom.
• The substitute teacher is responsible for the classroom in the absence of the Special Education Teacher.
• QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements) Education and/or years’ experience required: North Dakota Substitute Teaching License Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in education preferred 3 – 5 years of experience as a teacher preferred Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
