The Kettle Moraine YMCA is looking for an energetic and athletic leader to be our next great NinjaZone Instructor! It is your responsibility to inspire and train children in the fastest-growing Ninja Sport in the industry – NinjaZone! Ideal for athletes with backgrounds in gymnastics, martial arts, parkour, or free running. If you love working with kids, have a kind heart, and a love for fitness… this is the ideal place for you!

Available Hours

  • Mondays 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.,
  • Tuesdays 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. and
  • Saturdays 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Position summary

Under the direction of the Gymnastics Recreational Head Coach the NinjaZone Instructor is responsible for instructing participants, overseeing safety and understanding the importance of progression, safety and the individual needs to each participant.

Essential functions

  • 1.
  • Coaches and instructs students, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, and proper use of equipment 2.
  • Observes students during practice help determine the needs for the individual improvement.
  • 3.
  • Establishes and maintains professionalism while supervising students and coaches during practice and meets.
  • 4.
  • Participates in daily warm-ups.
  • 5.
  • Teach skills in progression and based on each participant’s skill level.
  • 6.
  • Enforces the utmost safety procedures at all times.
  • 7.
  • Practices time management skills and communicates with other instructors to promote the organizational flow of classes.
  • 8.
  • Communicates, listens and responds in a professional manner with participants and their parents.
  • 9.
  • Ability to work in a cooperative manner with other staff.
  • 10.
  • Builds and maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants, volunteers, other staff, and the communities we serve.

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies within the Child Abuse Prevention handbook.
